Error description

  • An ORA-00933 "SQL command not properly ended" error message is
reported when updating an oracle database that accesses another
Oracle database via an Oracle database link (DBLINK)

Problem summary

USERS AFFECTED:
All Users of IBM Integration Bus V10.1, App Connect Enterprise
V12 and App Connect Enterprise V13, who make use of the Oracle
Database LInk (DBLINK) functionality to access a different
Oracle database from withing the current Oracle database.


Platforms affected:
AIX, LinuxZ64, LinuxX64, LinuxPPCLE64, WinX64

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When accessing data in a seperate Oracle database that is
connected to via an Oracle Database Link (DBLINK) from the
current Oracle database, an ORA-00933 SQL command not properly
ended error message is reported.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • An updated ODBC driver for Oracle is now provided in App Connect

Enterprise and IBM Integration Bus that resolves this problem.
