APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Restore from an IBM Storage Protect Server retention set is very
  slow.
  Tape blocks are not restored sequentially during the restore
  operation.
  That causes the tape drive to constantly have to move backwards
  and forwards to locate and read the needed blocks.
  These locate operations cause the observed delays.
  
  Example in a PVR trace:
  The server read the number 18110198 and move back to it after
  reading other blocks
