APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After a successful export operation between two IBM Storage
    Protect servers, any subsequent data movement (reclamation,
    migration, move data) involving the imported data may fails with
    the following error:
    ANR0519E A retrieve or restore operation failed for session
    <session number> for node <node>. An invalid partial object
    request was received.

Local fix

  • Run the following command on the target IBM Storage Protect
    Server where data has been imported:
    Step-0: Perform a Db backup
    Step-1: Open a command prompt as instance owner
    Step-2: Get the nodeids
    db2 connect to tsmdb1
    db2 "SELECT DISTINCT nodeid FROM tsmdb1.ARCHIVE_OBJECTS ao WHERE
    flags=-17 FOR READ ONLY WITH UR" > nodeid.out
    Step-3 : Use nodeids obtained from nodeid.out to update
    flags=NULL
    db2 "UPDATE tsmdb1.archive_objects SET flags=NULL WHERE nodeid
    IN (nodeid1,nodeid2,...)
