IT46990: PCOM: SESSION FONT NOT RESTORED AFTER REOPENING THE SAVED 3270 DISPLAY PROFILE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After installing PCOM v15, we add keywords to the PCSWIN.INI
  file to control the display session font.

  After stopping and restarting the WS profile, the PCSWIN.INI
  contains
  .
  [FONT]
  UseDefaultFontIBM3270=Y[LastExitView]
  A=4 52 52 976 667 7 13 29 400 0 IBM3270 - 500
  .
  This causes the session to use the default PCOMM Session font
  instead of the desired IBM3270 font.
  

Local fix

• Edit the PCSWIN.INI with Notepad and insert a line to move
  LastExitView label to column 1

  Steps to recreate this problem:
  - User manually removes the LastExitView and last blank line
  from the PCSWIN.INI file and saves.
  - After next session launch and close, the PCSWIN.INI file gets
  updated.
  - [LastExitView] section gets combined with the last line of
  data in PCSWIN.INI
  

Problem conclusion

• Code changes have been made in PCSDEPRECATEDAPIWRAPPER.dll to
  ensure the [LastExitView] section is written on a new line in
  PCSWIN.INI  and in the .WS file also.
