APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In the IBM Storage Protect Server activity log can display the
    following message :
    
    ANR1652E Replication failed. Total number unresolved extents is
    xxxx
    
    This can happen when there is a mismatch in the poolid between
    the source server and what the target server has in the
    unresolved chunks table for the source poolid.
    
    In this situation, the extents will never be cleaned up and the
    replication stgrule will continue to fail with the ANR1652E
    message.
    
    To identify if the above cause is seen, perform the following
    query on the target server:
    
    db2 "select digest_value, src_poolid from sd_unresolved_chunks"
    
    Record the digest value found and check it against the source
    server with this command:
    
    db2 "select digest_value, poolid from sd_all_chunks where
    digest_value=<value from previous select>"
    
    Example:
    
    Command : db2 "select digest_value, src_poolid from
    sd_unresolved_chunks"
    Output : DIGEST_VALUE         SRC_POOLID
             -------------------- -----------
             x'ACD123...'                       1
             1 record(s) selected
    
    Command : db2 "select digest_value, poolid from sd_all_chunks
    where digest_value=x'ACD123...'"
    Output : DIGEST_VALUE   POOLID
             -------------- -----------
             x'ACD123...'               12
             1 record(s) selected
    
    
    If the poolid is different for the same digest value, then this
    APAR applies.
