APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The IBM Storage Protect Operations Center correctly displays any
    configured object agent in Object Agent column on the Server
    main panel but reports no configured Object Agent in the Object
    Agent section of the server detail panel.
    The problem is seen when the HLA (High-level Address) value
    defined in the object agent server definition is different from
    the address for the IBM Storage Protect server itself as seen
    with the query status command.
    
    
    
    IBM Spectrum Protect Versions Affected:
    
    All IBM storage Protect Server at 8.1.7.000 and later on all
    supported platforms
    

Local fix

  • Create the new Object Agent server definition or update the
    existing one to have the HLA parameter set to the same value as
    the IBM storage Protect server address as displayed with the
    query status command.

Problem conclusion

  • This problem was fixed Affected platforms: AIX, Linux, and
    Windows.
    Recommendation:
    Apply fixing level when available. This problem is currently
    projected to be fixed in level 8.1.25. Note that this is subject
    to change at the discretion of IBM
