APAR status

Error description

  • The user is trying to copy a special double quote character from
other application (such as MS Word, etc.) and they are pasting
it in PCOMM in their ISPF editor, but it is causing their PCOMM
to hang and crash.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • This issue occurs as PComm does not support Unicode character
for all language.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The change has been made to ignore the Unicode character (0x34)
and replace with space (0x40).
