APAR status

Error description

  • For this explanation two SFG partner names will be used as
    examples. The names are the same except for case of the letters
    in the name. One partner is named TESTPARTNER123 and the other
    is named testpartner123. If you use the SFG GUI to try to create
    those two partners, you can only create one of them, not both of
    them. Regardless of which partner you try to create first, the
    upper case one or the lower case one, the GUI blocks you with an
    on-screen error of "The partner name just entered is invalid
    because mailbox with this name already exists." when you try to
    create the second one.
    
    If you do the same test using the a new set of partner names
    with the same case difference in either order of creation, but
    do the creation using the Create Trading Partner REST API
    instead of the SFG GUI, the system allows you to create both
    partners, but there are only mailboxes for whichever partner you
    created first. No mailboxes are created for the second partner.
    After the creation of both partners using the REST API, if you
    delete either the upper case or the lower case partner using the
    Delete Trading Partner REST API, the single set of mailboxes
    that were created when the first partner was created will be
    deleted. Ideally, API should have the same behavior like B2B UI.
