APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the IBM Storage Protect server is starting storage rule for
    
    tiering to cloud, the server crashes without any message in the
    actlog.
    
    ANR0134I Tiering process 24 for storage rule
    STORAGE_RULE started from storage pool STORAGEPOOL to
    cloud-container storage pool CLOUD.  (PROCESS: 24, JOB: 1)
    ANR0135I Tiering process 24 from storage pool STORAGEPOOL
    started searching for eligible file spaces. (PROCESS: 24, JOB:1)
    
    ANR3339I Default Label in key data base is TSM Server
    SelfSigned SHA Key.
    ANR4726I The ICC support module has been loaded.
    
    No reason for crash is reported in logs. In the Windows event
    logs we can only see:
    
    "Faulting application name: dsmserv.exe, vers o: 8.1.21.23342,
    time stamp: 0x6573142f
    Faulting module name: ucrtbase.dll, vers o: 10.0.17763.1490,
    time stamp: 0x48ac8393
    Exception code: 0xc0000409"
    
    Dump files are not generated.
    
    A trace with classes "SC SD SQL DBSTMT DBEXEC DBCMD CLOUD" shows
    
    tier crashing after ScGetMinCopyHwmForPair is called with a
    invalid HWM "10/11/2176":
