APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • During backup stg, the server can crash if another data moving
process is running that prevents the server from including a
fragment in that operation.
Data moving process could be  move data, migration and
reclamation, as examples.

On Windows platform, the stack looks similar to:

Local fix

  • Run backup stg when no other data movement process is running
for the storage pool being backed up.
