Error description

  • When selecting policy option on IBM Storage Protect Plus user
    interface
    
    to "Force full backup of all resources" the job still runs an
    incremental
    
    backup. The option to force a full backup of all VMs assigned
    to the
    
    policy is ignored and the job log shows:
      INFO,...,CTGGA2110,Will do incremental backup for VM XXXX
    
    Here is how to select option "Force full backup of all
    resources":
    > Login to IBM Storage Protect Plus user interface
    > Click Manage Protection >> Virtualized Systems >> VMware
    > Click on the icon "Policy Options" from SLA Policy Status
    table

Problem conclusion

  • In IBM Spectrum Protect Plus, the User Interface (UI) included a
    "Force full backup of all resources" option on the SLA Configure
    Options screen. This option was never supported by IBM Spectrum
    Protect Plus and was erroneously included in the UI. This
    erroneous option has been removed from the UI in IBM Spectrum
    Protect Plus 10.1.16.2 and 10.1.17.
