APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The server configuration wizard will fail. This can occur on a
  server that was newly installed as well as existing servers that
  are upgraded.
  
  The following error when run during on Windows:
  
  Windows error 2 occurred while loading the Java VM
  
  Once this occurs and the window is closed, and manual steps will
  need to be taken to get the instance configured. See the Local
  Fix section for details on these steps.
  
  On Linux the error is as follows:
  
  Graphical installers are not supported by the VM. The console
  mode will be used instead...
  
  Once this failure is seen the command-line configuration wizard
  automatically runs to allow configuration of the instance.
  
  IBM Storage Protect Versions Affected: This only affects new
  8.1.22 server installations on Windows and Linux.

Local fix

• The server can still be configured using the command line
  steps documented here:

  using-manual-configuration-steps
  
  Alternately, you can install a previous version of the server
  and perform the configuration there. Then upgrade to 8.1.22.
  Since the instance is already configured, you do not need to use
  the configuration wizard.

Problem conclusion

• Created a new build, after modifying configWiz.iap_xml and
  configOSSM.iap_xml through Installanywhere2020. we update the
  Build configuration for all Targets (operating system) such as
  Windows, AIX, zLinux, pLinux, xLinux.  And associate
  corresponding JVM to bundle with Installer.
