IT45478: PCOM: RUN APPLET FUNCTION NOT WORKING FROM MACRO

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• I am able to manually run Java applets using the dropdown
  (Actions>Run Java Applet), but when attempting to use the
  function provided by online doc and the Macro editing interface,
  e.g.
  [Run Applet]
  MyApplet.class
  The macro runs past the function without starting applets that
  can otherwise be manually invoked. This failure also happens
  silently, there's no indication from the terminal emulator that
  it failed to invoke the Java applet in any way.

  1. Launch the 3270 session
  2. Click on the play button and select the Macro containing the
  [Run Applet] function from the drop down
  3. Run the macro
  4. The Run Java Applet is not executed
  

Problem conclusion

• PCSKBD.DLL code changes have been made to execute the [Run
  Applet] function in a PCOMM macro.
