APAR status

Error description

  • Users of Japanese PCOMM v15.0 (64bit) are not able to view the
Printer PROPERTIES window on a printer session.

When going to the "Printer Setup..." menu option and clicking
the "Setup..." button,  the "Print to Disk" window is prompting
instead of the correct "Printer PROPERTIES" window.

This same behavior is also observed on both 32bit and 64bit
versions of the Multilingual PCOMM v15.0 packages.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1) Create/Launch a PCOMM Printer or Display session
2) Go to "Printer Setup" under File menu
3) Select any local printer or Microsoft Print to PDF on
PORTPROMPT or Fax on SHAREFAX
4) Click on the "Setup" option
5) "Print to Disk" dialog box is opened which is unexpected. The
printer properties dialog box of the selected printer should be
opened

Problem conclusion

  • PCSPD.DLL code changes have been made to display the correct
printer properties dialog box for the selected printer.
