IT45104: PCOMM 13.0.7 - DISABLING SCRATCH PAD MENU

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• For security reasons, Admin users would like to inhibit the
  PCOMM menu option (Actions -> Launch -> Scratch Pad).
  
  However, currently there are no options available in PCOMM to
  disable it.
  
  Also, in our policies there is no option yet to restrict this
  specific menu.

  If the user wants to hide the Scratch Pad for all sessions:
  1) Launch the 3270/5250 session
  2) Click on the Actions menu option
  3) Click on the Launch menu option
  4) The Scratch Pad menu option is present, which is unexpected
  

Problem conclusion

• PCSWS.EXE and PCSPREF.DLL have been changed to hide menu items
  from the PCSWIN.INI file for all the sessions. Add the below
  (same as session) keyword in PCSWIN.INI to apply to all the
  user's session on the desktop.

  This change will apply to all sessions using the same PCSWIN.INI
  file.
