Error description
This new symptom is related to APAR (IT36281). https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/apar/IT36281 In the past, in a DDS Menu BAR when an item is clicked the 5250 subfile records were getting not displayed until APAR (IT36281) fix was provided. But after that fix, users noticed that they are getting "X II" or "X ?+" OIA indicators in their 5250 screen when clicking a DDS Menu option.

Problem summary
Here are the steps to reproduce the problem, 1) Launch any PCOMM session on Japanese environment. 2) Traverse to the screen containing DDS menu. 3) Left mouse click on DDS menu item. User gets an error indication (X II) on OIA shown in the bottom of the emulator screen.
Problem conclusion
PCSWS.EXE code changes have been made to handle the left mouse click on the DDS menu. . Regression from below APAR: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/apar/IT36281
