IT44596: SHARED DATASTORE CLUSTER MISSING FROM RESTORE DESTINATION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When trying to restore a VMware Virtual Machine (VM) to a
  datastore cluster that is shared between different ESXi host
  clusters, these shared datastore clusters are only seen on one
  of the host clusters in the Storage Protect Plus restore wizard.
  
  
  As a result, the shared datastore cluster can not be selected
  as a restore destination when restoring a VM to some of the ESXi
  host clusters.

Problem conclusion

• In IBM Spectrum Protect Plus before 10.1.15.3, cluster shared
  datastores were not included as restore destinations due to a
  bug in the destination filtering logic. This bug has been
  resolved in IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.15.3 and 10.1.16,
  resulting in the expected destination being visible.
