APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• IBM Spectrum Protect server fails to preempt an IBM tape drive
  because it uses an incorrect device file.
  
  When the server fails to open an IBM tape drive with the errno
  value as 16 (EBUSY) in the log and fails to retry, the server
  will try to preempt this tape drive.
  This operation requires the real device file of this tape drive.
  
  
  However, the server uses an incorrect pseudo device file.
  
  As a result, the server fails to preempt the tape drive and the
  server still cannot open this tape drive.
