APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • During the Vmware Backup Job, the step "Get vadp backup info"
    takes a long time to get ESX hostname mapping, causing an
    increased backup job time.
    
    
    When this happens, it is possible to see the delay between the
    "Get vadp backup info" and the "Starting backup of all VMs"
    steps
    
    
    In the Job log entries like the ones that are logged:

Problem conclusion

  • This problem has been fixed so that VMware backup will take less
