APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Database backup to a target server using virtual volumes via
  server to server communication fails if the target node password
  has expired.  In this case the password expiration interval is
  set to 1day.

  When performing the password update from the source server there
  is no check to see if the target server supports mixed case
  passwords. The old password is set to uppercase which is causing
  the failure on the target server.  This is only seen in 8.1.16
  and later with mixed case passwords.
