APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• On a CPU down event current primary EC's CPU, multiple MQIPC
  messages will be sent for some outstanding requests if the
  primary amqssmgr process is running on an unaffected CPU.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• A CPU down event causes the amqssmgr's close handler being
  called, which will send a message to the applications connected
  to the closing agent process without marking the serviced
  requests.
  After that it will go into its CPU down handler and send
  additional messages for all outstanding requests sending
  additional messages for the same requests.
  

Problem conclusion

• The product has been changed and will now only send one MQIPC
  per request in case of a CPU down event.
