Error description

  • When using a security profile for authentication against locally
    stored credentials in the vault, the authentication may fail if
    the password value is set to 'MASK'  or 'OBFUSCATE" in the
    security profile policy.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of IBM App Connect Enterprise v11 and v12 using a
    security profile for authentication against locally stored
    credentials.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    When using a security profile for authentication against locally
    stored credentials in the vault, the authentication may fail if
    the password value is set to 'MASK'  or 'OBFUSCATE" in the
    security profile policy.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Users can now successfully be authenticated when setting
    password value to 'MASK'  or 'OBFUSCATE" in the security profile
    policy.
