Error description

  • In a W2K19-Citrix session, customer is having problem that
    usually only one or two of the three generated WS-files can be
    started correctly, but the first started session never works.
    Upon checking the INI file provided, the negative value in INI
    file seems causing the issue.

    Need to check how PCOM handles the LastExitView string when
    the multiple monitor environment changes and we cannot
    initialize the window frame to the last used location.

Local fix

  • Fix was created under version PComm v1402-x86 MLS pack

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * PComm session failed to launch when "LastExitView" x & y     *
    * value is negative.                                           *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    This issue occurs due to external monitor attached with machine
    while saving the session file. When launching the session file
    again, if external monitor is not available PCOMM is unable to
    recognize the x & y co-ordinate and could not launch the
    session.

Problem conclusion

  • PCSVIEW.DLL and PCSWS.EXE have been changed to handle the
    negative x & y co-ordinate.

    It will check for negative x & y value while launching the
    session, if the x or y value is negative it will reset x and y
    both values as 0 (Zero) and it will launch the session to the
    upper left corner of the primary monitor.
