Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM Integration Bus V10 and V10.1, AppConnect Enterprise V11 and V12 who uses JDBC Type 4 driver for connections. Platforms affected: MultiPlatform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IIB and ACE documentation does not mention that the jarsURL can be set to a directory path containing the symbolic links to concrete files held in another directory/location on operating systems which support symbolic links. .
Problem conclusion
Product documentation pages are updated to include the statement that explains jarsURL as below: V10 --> https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/integration-bus/10.0?topic=databases -setting-up-jdbc-provider-type-4-connections V10.1 --> https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/integration-bus/10.1?topic=databases -setting-up-jdbc-provider-type-4-connections V11 --> https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/app-connect/11.0.0?topic=properties- jdbc-providers-policy-jdbcproviders V12 --> https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/app-connect/12.0?topic=properties-jd bc-providers-policy-jdbcproviders Note : On operating systems which support symbolic links, jarsURL can be set to a directory path containing the symbolic links to concrete files held in another location provided the operating system implementation of symbolic links is completely transparent to Java file processing facilities. This method will be helpful in scenarios where there are multiple version of jdbc driver exists in the same directory. By creating a symbolic link to the required jdbc driver jar, it can be ensured that the type 4 driver class is loaded from the required version of the jdbc driver.
