APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• This issue occurs in the following steps.
  
  1)  Define a backup copygroup with VEREXISTS=1 and VERDELETED=1
  on both source and target servers.
  2)  Run incremental backup to back up a file to the source
  server.
  
  3)  Run EXPORT NODE with MERGE=YES FILEDATA=BACKUP
  TOSERVER=target
  4)  Remove the file from client, and run incremental backup
  again
  
  5)  Run again EXPORT NODE with MERGE=YES FILEDATA=BACKUP
  TOSERVER=target
  
  Since VEREXISTS=1 and VERDELETE=1, only one version should be
  kept as an inactive version on both source and target servers.
  Actually, however, no version is kept on the target server.
  
  The dsmc query backup command fails in the target server side,
  like below:
  ------
  Protect> query backup <filename> -inactive
  ANS1092W No files matching search criteria were found.
  ------
  
  Customer/Support diagnostics:
  
  After step 5, SELECT FROM BACKUPS shows that DEACTIVATE_DATE of
  the backup data is set to '1900-01-01 00:00:00.000000' on the
  target server, like below:
  ------
  Protect: TARGET> select LL_NAME,DEACTIVATE_DATE from backups
  where LL_NAME like '%<filename>'
         LL_NAME: <filename>
  DEACTIVATE_DATE: 1900-01-01 00:00:00.000000
  
  Protect: TARGET>
  ------
  It means that the backup data is marked as a target of EXPIRE
  INVENTORY process.
  
  As result, when EXPIRE INVENTORY runs, all backup versions are
  deleted from the target server.
  
  Note:
  
  This issue occurs also using EXPORT NODE with
  DEVCLASS=classname and IMPORT NODE with MERGE=YES
  DEVCLASS=classname commands.
  This issue also affects EXPORT and IMPORT SERVER.
