  • IBM PTC MQ security scans

Local fix

  • The following files can be removed from each MQ for HPE NonStop
installation.

Note: Users are urged to make backup copies of these files and
      directories before removing them.

The following files can be removed:

¢MQINST/opt/mqm/bin/amqwclientTransport.wsdd

¢MQINST/opt/mqm/bin/amqwsetcp.sh
¢MQINST/opt/mqm/bin/amqwstartwin.sh
¢MQINST/opt/mqm/java/lib/
 8.1.0.<version>-WS-MQ-Install-Java-All.jar   (all versions)
¢MQINST/opt/mqm/java/lib/com.ibm.mq.soap.jar
¢MQINST/opt/mqm/java/lib/commons-net.jar
¢MQINST/opt/mqm/java/lib/jacocoant.jar
¢MQINST/opt/mqm/java/lib/javaAPI.jar

The following directories and their contents can be removed:

   ¢MQINST/opt/mqm/java/lib/jca
   ¢MQINST/opt/mqm/java/lib/soap
   ¢MQINST/opt/mqm/samp/soap

Problem summary

  • Unneeded Java files were incorrectly included in the MQ for
HPE NonStop installation packages.

Problem conclusion

  • The unneeded files are no longer included with MQ fixpack
packages.
