Error description

  • During copy to cloud to Microsoft Azure with a connection
    throttled, IBM Spectrum Protect Plus can  hit
    
    timeouts that are  specific to Microsoft Azure because its
    
    SDK behaves differently from all other cloud providers.
    
    The job log will show:
    WARN,<<<date>>>,CTGGA1915,Error occurred on Storage vSnap
    replication Please check vSnap Storage logs.
    ERROR,<<<date>>>,CTGGA0309,Copy failed for snapshot (ID: 3712)

Problem conclusion

  • Implemented code fixes to perform multiple retries if the cloud
    metadata fails to upload. Some intermittent failures are
    possible when the network connection is unreliable. The issue
    can be resolved by automatically retrying the failed upload.
