IT42491: UNABLE TO ADD IBM SPECTRUM VIRTUALIZE DEVICES TO STORAGE INSIGHTS DUE TO INTERNAL EXCEPTION

Error description

• DETAIL OF PROBLEM:
  Users adding or monitoring FlashSystem, SVC, Storwize devices
  on firmware levels between 8.3.1.2 - 8.3.1.5
  
  This issue may potentially be associated with: error
  "sed: command not found" when IBM Storage Insights is running
  queries against the relevant storage device.
  
  The Storage Device is throwing the errors and this is addressed
  in Storage Device Firmware version 8.3.1.6+

Problem conclusion

• This is resolved by upgrading the device firmware to
  8.3.1.6 or higher.
  
  A fix for this APAR in Storage Insights to avoid running
  the sed command is targeted for the following release:
  
  IBM Storage Insights 4Q22   [ 54X-IBM-SI ]
  ( release target 4Q 2022 / December )
