IT42157: SPECTRUM PROTECT CLIENT AUTODEPLOYMENT FAILS WHEN THE SESSIONINITIATION OPTION EXISTS BEFORE PASSWORDACCESS OPTION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the SESSIONINITiation option appears before the
  PASSWORDAccess option, the auto deployment script
  (deployclient.sh) fails and reports like below in setup.log,
  even though the PASSWORDAccess option is set to GENERATE.
  < Timestamp>: read : SESSIONINITiation CLIENT
  < Timestamp>::       : PASSWORDAccess PROMPT is set for
  servername xxx.
  < Timestamp>::       : PASSWORDAccess GENERATE is required.
  < Timestamp>:: Client Deployment cancelled.
  
  In dsm.sys or dsm.opt, the SESSIONINITiation option comes before
  PASSWORDAccess. For example:
  SESSIONINITiation CLIENT
  ...
  PASSWORDAccess GENERATE
  

Local fix

• Remove the SESSIONINITiation option or put it after the
  PASSWORDAccess option
