and returned an indication that the function should not be done.

Local fix

  • STRRTC - MFT-13457
    VS / SF
    Circumvention: None

Problem summary

  • Description of issue: While monitoring CD i5 server errors occur
causing "java.sql.SQLException: [SQL7049] An internal object
limit has been exceeded." errors to be output to the
    engine/event processor log file.

Problem conclusion

  • Description of fix: Updated logic that ascertains whether or not
the CD i5 stat file has a SEQUENCE column to close its result
set and for the logic that invoked it to only do so once at
signon time instead of prior to each request for statistics.

Note this new logic may cause an i5 security exit to say there's
an issue, which prevents Control Center from retrieving any
statistics at all from the server and results in Control Center
indicating the server is down. Until the security exit on the
CD i5 system can be rectified, two new engine properties may be
used to avoid the code that's triggering the security exit from
    saying there's a problem - CHECK_I5_STAT_FILE_COLUMNS and
    I5_STAT_FILE_SEQUENCE_PRESENT. CHECK_I5_STAT_FILE_COLUMNS
defaults to true, but when it is set to false, Control Center
will rely on the value of I5_STAT_FILE_SEQUENCE_PRESENT, which
defaults to false, to know if the cdstatfile database has the
new SEQUENCE column, instead of the logic that is triggering the
security exit from saying that is a problem.

Note a version of this change was made for 6.2.0 - MFT-13457,
but it used different property names, ALLOW_CD_STAT_FILE_CHECK
    for CHECK_I5_STAT_FILE_COLUMNS, and CD_STAT_FILE_HAS_SEQUENCE
for I5_STAT_FILE_SEQUENCE_PRESENT. The previous property names
are no longer supported, and will be ignored if still specified.
