Error description

  • To replicate the issue in PComm, use the two commands below. A
dummy link is provided for the recreation.
    STRPCO PCTA(*NO)
    STRPCCMD PCCMD('start msedge "https://thisisa.longurl.cloud.com
    /203AppNet/docpop/docpop.aspx?clienttype=html&KT12_0_0_0=567234
    34435667&keytype="')PAUSE(*NO)

The link was passed as "https://thisisaveryvery.longurl.cloud.c
    om/203AppNet/docpop/docpop.aspx?clienttype=html&;"and then redir
"KT12_0_0_0=56723434435667&keytype=" bit of string was absent
from the address bar before the redirection.

In comparison by directly issuing the same command above in
    quotes to Windows CMD.

Open CMD and paste the command without quotes:
    start msedge "https://thisisaveryvery.longurl.cloud.com/203AppN
    et/docpop/docpop.aspx?clienttype=html&KT12_0_0_0=56723434435667
    &keytype="
It is observed that the full URL was being passed and seen on
the address bar of the browser then the redirection will happen.

It seems the maximum limit of the string variable URL has been
reached thus the remaining few characters are being truncated
    when the command was passed.
