APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
On the IBM Spectrum Protect server, "Query Replication" may display a failed status for a node or node filespace pair even if the replication storage rule completed successfully. Bellow are steps how to determine if this APAR applies. Server trace with trace flags REPLSTATS REPLPROC REPLPHASE active during replication storage rule shows: ..[DoReplUpdatePhaseStats]:Phase 1691390334105 completed, chunksCompleted=7765, chunksFailed=0 ..[nrCatalogTcrPhase]:Cataloging TCR phase. PhaseId=1691390334105, jobId=263, replSrvId=1 ..[UpdateReplHistRecord]:Enter: Updating history record for nodeId=15, fsId=1, copytype=1 ..[UpdateReplHistRecord]:Failed repl: 4257078868 of 4601281090 bytes, 553 of 578 files replicated --> the above 2 lines report a failed replication for nodeId=15, fsId=1, copytype=1 ..[UpdateReplHistRecord]:Exit: rc 0 ..[nrCatalogTcrPhase]:Exit: rc=0 ... ..[DoReplUpdatePhaseStats]:Phase 1691390334115 completed, chunksCompleted=435, chunksFailed=0 ..[nrCatalogTcrPhase]:Cataloging TCR phase. PhaseId=1691390334115, jobId=263, replSrvId=1 ..[UpdateReplHistRecord]:Enter: Updating history record for nodeId=15, fsId=1, copytype=1 ..[UpdateReplHistRecord]:Exit: rc 0 --> this line reports the last replication for the same nodeId=15, fsId=1, copytype=1 was successful ..[nrCatalogTcrPhase]:Exit: rc=0 If UpdateReplHistRecord will show failed replication for certain phases for the (node, filespace, copytype) during replication processing but not the for the last one then this APAR will apply. IBM Spectrum Protect Versions Affected: IBM Spectrum Protect Server 8.1.13 and higher on all supported platforms Additional Keywords: Spectrum Protect; replication; stgrule; failed; q replication; TSM; TS008696318
