Error description
A Spectrum Protect server crashes when dismounting a volume in a manual or external library environment. There is no error in the server activity log. When running the Spectrum Protect server on a Windows server, the Windows application event log will show the following entry: Log Name: Application Source: ADSMServer Date: <timestamp> Event ID: 27 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: <name> Description: ... The following information was included with the event: ANR9999D: ADSM Exception Information: file = pkthread.c, line = 3997,Code = c0000005, Address = 00007FFCE9DA8533 Attempt to read data at address 43~ If running the Spectrum Protect server as a service, examine the dsmsvc.err file in the server instance directory. If running the Spectrum Protect server in the foreground, examine the dsmserv.err file in the server instance directory.
