Error description

  • In mqsisystemreport script, currently NPROC_SOFT and NPROC_HARD
    gives the soft limit for the maximum number of file descriptors
    that a process can have.
    
    It should actually display soft limit of how many processes a
    user can create by using following options :
    NPROC_SOFT=ulimit -Su
    NPROC_HARD=ulimit -Hu

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    In mqsisystemreport script, NPROC_SOFT and NPROC_HARD fields
    incorrectly give the soft limit and hard limit for the maximum
    number of file descriptors that a process can have instead of
    the soft and hard limit for the number of a process a user can
    create.
    

Problem conclusion

  • NPROC_SOFT and NPROC_HARD commands  now correctly returns soft
    and hard limit for the number of a process a user can create.
