Error description

  • The IBM Spectrum Protect Server can incorrectly report damaged
data on the target server when a replication storage rule is in
process. Data is not damaged and should not be reported as such.
Damaged data is only seen on the target server. The source
server is not affected, and it is caused by an incomplete
    replication.

This APAR applies when the following symptoms are seen on the
    target replication server:
    query damaged CONTAINER_POOL
    does not report any errors
    and
    query damaged CONTAINER_POOL type=container
reports a list of damaged containers

    | MDVREGR 8.1.13.000-TIV_5698ISMSV |

    IBM Spectrum Protect Versions Affected:

    platforms

    Additional Keywords:

Local fix

  • Restart the replication storage rule on the IBM Spectrum Protect
source server and wait for it to finish successfully.
