Error description

  • When opening a support ticket from Storage Insights for a
    storage device, one of the fields presented is a customer
    number.  It typically is pre-populated.  In some cases, the
    resulting support ticket is opened with a different customer
    number based on a separate asset-based lookup in the ticketing
    system.
    

Local fix

  • None.  The customer number in the opened ticket should be the
    correct one regardless of what was specified when opening from
    Storage Insights.
