APAR status

Error description

  • After upgrading to server version 8.1.13, Backup of devconfig
    file may fail with the following messages:

    This failure can be seen when using backup devconfig, backup DB
    commands or PREPARE commands.
    
    IBM Spectrum Protect version affected : 8.1.13 and above on all
    supported platforms.
    Initial impact : High
    

Local fix

  • Using the Update server command will solve the issue by updating
    the server password.
     ? Update server <server_name> SERVERPassword=<password>
    The following SQL statement could be used to identify which
    server(s) need this update :

    adii left join tsmdb1.server_connect
    adcn on adii.server_name=adcn.server_name where adcn.password is
