    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    The Knowledge Center Topic
    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/app-connect/12.0?topic=flows-resolvi
    ng-problems-when-using-kafka-nodes documents how to enable log4j
    logging for Kafka nodes however since the update to log4j
    version 2 this is no
    longer accurate.
    

Problem conclusion

    to use following the update to log4j2.
