Error description

  • There is no default template in the odbc.ini file for accessing
Db2 on iSeries via ODBC on Unix and Linux.
There is no information in the documentation about setting up
ODBC access to Db2 on iSeries form Unix, Linux or Windows.

USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM App Connect Enterprise V11 or V12 and IBM
Integration Bus V10 who want to access a Db2 database on iSeries
via ODBC from Windows or Linux x86-64.


Platforms affected:
Linux on x86-64 platform, Windows on x86-64 platform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The product documentation did not include the steps needed to
setup an ODBC connection from Windows or Linux x86-64 to Db2 on
iSeries.
Additionally the sample odbc.ini file for Linux x86-64 did not
contain a sample stanza for Db2 on iSeries

  • The product documentation has been updated.
The sample odbc.ini file for Linux x86-64 has been updated.
