APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If integration node take more time to shutdown than the
    specified wait time in mqsistop command(mqsistop -w), expected
    return message is "BIP8016E: Cannot confirm the component has
    stopped" . It is correctly working on Windows. But on Unix,
    mqsistop is returning "BIP8071I: Successful command completion"
    instead of BIP8016E.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of IBM App Connect Enterprise V11.0 and V12.0
    executing mqsistop command on AIX or Linux platform.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    AIX, Linux on x86-64 platform, Linux on zSeries platform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    If the integration node takes more time to shutdown than the
    specified wait time in mqsistop command(mqsistop -w), expected
    return message is "BIP8016E: Cannot confirm the component has
    stopped". But on AIX and Linux platform,  mqsistop is returning
    "BIP8071I: Successful command completion" instead of BIP8016E.
    

Problem conclusion

  • mqsistop -w now returns BIP8071I if the integration node takes
    more time to shutdown than the specified wait time.
