Error description

  • In an IBM MQ HA or DR environment, the addmqinf command is used
    to
add the QueueManager stanza into mqs.ini. If the queue manager
    is not
started on the standby node at least once then the following
failure data capture (FDC) records are
generated from amqiclen program during uninstallation:
    .

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users uninstalling IBM MQ on a node where the QueueManager
stanza entry was added using addmqinf and the queue manager was
    never started on that node

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A defect in IBM MQ meant that the addmqinf command did not
create the necessary directory structure when the queue manager
file system was unavailable. This caused IBM MQ to generate FDC
records reporting a missing directory or file during
    uninstallation.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ code has been modified to recreate the necessary
directory structure even when the queue manager file system is
    unavailable.
