Error description

  • VOLSER column not included in Export Performance Data output
for a storage system with CKD volumes that contains this data
    in Storage Insights.

    - If you go to the Volumes panel for a storage device in
Storage Insights, which shows the Name and VOLSER columns, and
do an export there. It will include the VOLSER column.
    - If you
choose Export Performance Data for that same storage device and
then look at the volumes spreadsheet, it doesn't include the
VOLSER column. Name wasn't there either, but there was a column
    named Volume.

Local fix

  • As a workaround, go to the Volumes panel in Storage Insights,
which shows the Name and VOLSER columns, and do an
Export there. It will include the VOLSER column.
