APAR status

Error description

  • If a gateway peer is not up but is assigned to be the primary
    using the CLI command then the peering state will be
    inconsistent.
    

Local fix

  • Make sure to check the status of the target primary before
    running the CLI command.

  • If a gateway peer is not up but is assigned to be the primary
    one by using the CLI command, then it will show inconsistent
    peering state. The command should fail and throw an error.
