Error description
When configuring IBM Spectrum Protect Snapshot with a DEVICE_CLASS for San Volume Controller (SVC) / StorWize Dynamic Target Allocation (DTA), the Snapshot wizard setup_orasap.sh will correctly add the required DEVICE_CLASS parameters to the profile when you select the item SVCDTA as the value for the parameter COPYSERVICES_HARDWARE_TYPE: >>> DEVICE_CLASS YOUR_CLASS_NAME COPYSERVICES_HARDWARE_TYPE GENERIC COPYSERVICES_ADAPTERNAME svc/SvcAdapter.jar ### ANY OTHER DEVICE_CLASS RELATED OPTIONS ### <<< The documentation of these options / options values is missing in the product manual. Instead it contains a misleading statement which suggests that 'COPYSERVICES_HARDWARE_TYPE SVCDTA' might be a valid setting, which is not true in fact. Product versions affected: IBM Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager starting with version 4.1.4, IBM Spectrum Protect Snapshot All 8.1 versions Initial impact: Medium Additional keywords: SPS FCM ACS TS006738347 TS006211515
