IT38227: MULTIPLE HITACHI STORAGE DEVICES WITH A SINGLE COMMAND SUITE NOT DISCOVERED CORRECTLY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Multiple Hitachi storage devices are monitored with a single
  instance of Hitachi Command Suite. After adding the credentials
  to Storage Insights as a data source, only one of the multiple
  storage devices is displayed. The properties are not correct as
  the IP address and serial number belong to a different Hitachi
  storage device.
  
  Storage Insights is not handling multiple storage devices with
  a single Command Suite correctly. The properties are
  mismatched from the various Hitachi storage managed by
  that instance of Command Suite.
  
  A one to one relationship between the storage device and
  Command Suite is required at this time.
  

Local fix

• None, but it will work if each Hitachi storage device has its
  own Command Suite.
