APAR status

Error description

  • MQ Explorer still contains the option to change DNSWLM to 'Yes'
    or 'No' (QMGR -> Properties -> Channels -> Register with WLM),
     even though this parameter hasn't been supported since  v8.0

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    This issue affects users of the MQExplorer GUI tool accessing a
    MQ Queue Manager on z/OS.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    Windows, Linux on x86-64, z/OS

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    MQ Explorer still contains the option to change "Register with
    WLM"(DNSWLM) to 'Yes' or 'No' (QMGR -> Properties -> Channels ->
    Register with WLM),  even though this parameter hasn't been
    supported since  MQ v8.0 and higher.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The application has been changed to prevent the property being
    shown for MQ version that it has been removed from.
