APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A large number of failure data capture (FDC) records with probe
identifier CO051011 are written.  If left unchecked
then this may cause the error volume to become full and
zero-length FDCs may be
seen in the error directory.

  • Manually terminate the process writing the FDC records

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
IBM MQ contains some code used to dump the state of all threads
in a process in an FDC.  This code contained a bug which meant
that it could loop indefinitely, potentially filling the disk
volume that hosts the IBM MQ error directory.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ code has been modified to avoid an infinite loop in
the affected code.
