Error description

  • The BACKUP NODE process will fail with the following error seen
    in the actlog, after an upgrade to IBM Spectrum Protect server
    8.1.10:
    
    ANR4729E Server connection to file server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    failed. The level of the file server operating system is
    unsupported by IBM Spectrum Protect server. Please upgrade the
    file server to the level of the operating system supported by
    the server.
    
    The  issue occurs in a scenario where EMC Celerra filers with
    vendor name 'EMC2' are in place.
    The PVR MMS NA SPI SPID SESSREMOTE BRNODE  Server trace will
    display the vendor name as follows :
    
    <timestamp> [<PID>][ndmpspi.c][<TID>][spiSessInit]: NAS
    Vendorname:&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;EMC2.
    <timestamp> [<PID>][ndmpspi.c][<TID>][spiSessInit]:
