IT36642: UNEXPECTED MESSAGE ANS1331E (RC927) ON UNIX PLATFORMS BECAUSE THE API IGNORES THE PASSWORDDIR OPTION

Error description

• When the user that runs the IBM Spectrum Protect API does not
  have write permission into the default directory referenced by
  the passworddir client option, the following error is seen :
  
  
  
  ANS1331E (RC927) Only a IBM Spectrum Protect authorized user can
  perform this Action
  
  
  
  If that option is not set, the default location is:
  
  for AIX: /etc/security/adsm
  
  for other UNIX and Linux platforms : /etc/adsm
  
  
  
  The IBM Spectrum Protect API has been observed to ignore the
  passworddir option value when used with third party
  applications.
  
  When that happens, if the default passworddir location is not
  present or does not have the needed permission for the user
  running the API, the ANS1331E (RC927) message will be seen.
