APAR status

Error description

  • When using the integration node HTTP listener, the SOAPInput
    node does not propagate client authentication data for SSL X509
    certificates into the local environment.
    The client
    certificate information is propagated when using the HTTPInput
    node and the integration node listener, and it is propagated
    for both the SOAP and HTTP input nodes when using the
    integration server HTTP listener.
    

Local fix

  • Use the integration server HTTP listener.
    

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of IBM App Connect Enterprise V11 and V12 using the
    SOAPInput node with the Integration Node HTTP Listener.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform
    
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    When using the integration node HTTP listener, the SOAPInput
    node does not propagate client authentication data for SSL X509
    certificates into the local environment.
    The client certificate information is propagated successfully
    when using the HTTPInput node and the integration node listener,
    as well as for both the SOAP and HTTP input nodes when using the
    integration server HTTP listener.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The SOAPInput node is now able to propagate the SSL client
    certificate information when using the integration node HTTP
    listener.
